The Washington Post recently taste tested 15 different major hot dog brands in order to find out which ones stood out the most. They judged a variety of brands based on taste, appearance, seasoning, and texture. They decided to grill each of the hot dog varieties for optimal flavor.
Among its competitors, Wellshire Premium Beef Franks ranked #5 out of the 15 brands that were tried. The taste testers liked the look of Wellshire, noting “it’s a good looking one – several tasters remarked on its symmetry. But there’s an odd sweetness here in a lovely and perfectly cylindrical dog”.
Can’t go wrong with a good-looking beef frank! Pick up a pack at your local Whole Foods or on Amazon and try them for yourself!
