Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • Wellshire bacon

Directions

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until combined.
  2. Add to a saucepan and add milk slowly. Cook on medium heat and continue stirring until simmering. Mixture should thicken.
  3. Add maple syrup and stir until combined. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate until cold, about 30 minutes.
  4. Cook bacon per package instructions and desired crispiness. Once done and cooled, chop into small pieces.
  5. Stir cream into the refrigerated mix. Churn in an ice cream maker, adding bacon pieces.
  6. Once completed store in an airtight container and place in freezer until frozen (at least 2 hours).
  7. Serve with waffles and enjoy!
