  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • sprinkles
  • Wellshire Bacon Bits


  1. Combine butter and sugar together. Beat until creamy.
  2. Add vanilla and egg. Mix. Then add flour and mix again until combined.
  3. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, until firm.
  4. Roll the dough out to about 1/3-1/2 inch thickness. Using heart shaped cookie cutters, cut out as many hearts as you can. Combine the leftover scraps and roll out again. Repeat the process until you’ve used all of the dough.
  5. Place the cookies on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes. the cookies should start lightly browning around the edges.
  7. While the cookies are baking, combine powdered sugar and milk until smooth to create icing. Add red food coloring if desired to make pink or red icing.
  8. Once cookies are done, remove from oven and place them on a cooling rack. Wait until the cookies are cooled before decorating.
  9. Decorate with icing, sprinkles and bacon bits!
